Your #1 quote is a variation of something she wrote in (if I remember correctly) Devil in Winter. It was something about two people fitting so well because of their broken edges. I remember loving it so much the first time I read it. =)
Enbrethiliel, You're right, but I liked the later version a little bit better. The first time I read it I sighed. Here's the original one that I believe you were talking about:
