Cat's mixed heritage (half vampire before her change) has once again been called into question. The powers she's yielded as a newly made vamp have caused quite a stir in both the Vampire and Ghoul worlds. Once again Cat is made a target by those that have no tolerance for what they don't understand. Apollyon, the leader of the deadly crusade, has set his sites on killing Cat for the second time. I guess he lives by the adage, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". With Cat and Bones still adjusting to Cat's crazy feeding habits and power syphoning abilities, it's really an inconvenience they could live without. Luckily, they still find time for each other...
"I love your hands," he sighed. "You think I look like an angel? Well, Kitten, your hands are my heaven and your eyes are my home."
I found this story very fun. It had the return of Timmie, her former neighbor in college. It had a mention or cameo of just about every character we've come to love in her books. It has action and drama and some love scenes between Cat and Bones.
I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
